Matt flies the nest… Compass in hand
Mixed emotions today at Xperiology HQ as Matthew Wall, our Marketing Executive, logs out of Mailchimp and Google Analytics to take on a new challenge.
Just short of two years ago, Matt joined Xperiology as a graduate intern and has been on a rapid development path in digital marketing with us.
His Sports Journalism degree – coupled with work experience at Sports New Media, Watford FC and press operations at London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games – supported his application to join Xperiology as its first ever graduate intern.
In a few months he had developed as a core member of the team which delivers TheStadiumBusiness Summit, Fan Experience Forum, The LEVEL Summit, Ticketing Technology Forum and our other leading sports and entertainment industry events.
“What an incredible whirlwind couple of years I’ve had at Xperiology,” explains Matt. “For a graduate straight out of university, no other company would have given me the learning experience that I have been fortunate to have at Xperiology.”
“Small businesses have an obligation to provide a gateway for new talent into industry and we’re delighted with Matt’s progress during his time with us,” explains Ian Nuttall, Co-Founder, Xperiology. “Nurturing talent and nurturing our events are symbiotic activities – the ROI on training, mentoring and development bear fruits over the long term.”
“I’d like to thank Ian, Angelina and the Xperiology team for their guidance, mentoring and – more than anything – the career development they have given me since joining,” says Matthew, who will be taking his marketing skills, industry knowledge and DIY talents (!) to action in his new role.
In fact, Matt’s joining Xperiology’s longstanding sponsors and partners Compass Group UK & Ireland in the role of Commercial Communications Manager.
We wish him every success and hope our paths cross again soon.
