Xperiology: Shifting our focus from X/Twitter to LinkedIn

As a B2B agency and publisher, we’re shifting our focus to where our community is most active – and these days that is LinkedIn. This platform enables us to connect directly with industry professionals, decision-makers, and clients, ensuring our content reaches the right audience.

LinkedIn’s business-oriented environment allows us to enhance engagement, build credibility, and foster meaningful interactions.

By way of background, our X/Twitter communities peaked about 18 months ago and have had little or no growth since—@theticketingbiz has 3,562 Followers, and @stadiumbusiness has 5,440 Followers. Engagement has also dropped by 40% across these X channels in the same period and continues to decline.

Consistent Growth on LinkedIn

we've seen significant growth on LinkedIn in the past 18 months – with over 10,200 Followers on TheTicketingBusiness page and circa 17,000 on TheStadiumBusiness page
Meanwhile, we’ve seen significant growth on LinkedIn in the past 18 months – with over 10,200 Followers on TheTicketingBusiness page and circa 17,000 on TheStadiumBusiness page (see graph). Engagement continues to grow each month across both of these channels.

We will continue using X/Twitter for key event updates, awards announcements, sponsored content, and perhaps some breaking news items.

However, the focus for our regular news flow, insights, and commentary will be shared primarily on LinkedIn going forward.
