It seems like only yesterday that the scaffolding was first erected at Xperiology HQ, but now the end is most definitely in sight for our new home. It would appear that our approach to the project has paid off and everything (bar a few forgivable hiccups) has gone to plan.
Come rain or shine, the project team have worked tirelessly to keep the conversion (somewhat) to schedule and we now have plumbing, ceilings and a staircase firmly in place.
The original beams now sit in a perfectly insulated, freshly painted ceiling and we’ve even got the beginnings of a bathroom. With only two weeks to go, we have hit the very satisfying stage of seeing new developments every day – today being the first of our interior decor choices in some stylish lamp shades chosen by Ian, of course.
‘It’s all coming together very well, and before long we will just be waiting for phone lines and internet to be installed, which means we are very close to the end indeed’ confirms John, our project manager.
The move is scheduled for this month, celebratory bubbles are chilling and the team are already making promises about keeping the kitchen spotless and arguing about where the Christmas tree is going to go – just like any normal family would.
