Dot Tickets step forward to tackle online ticketing fraud

British company The Dot Tickets Organisation, one of the applicants in the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) process to create hundreds of new internet addresses alongside .com, has been named as the first independent company to successfully pass the stringent ICANN criteria for the “.tickets”

icann2Ticketing industry veteran Steve Machin, Founder and CEO of The Dot Tickets Organisation is supported by some of the biggest stakeholders in the ticketing business. The plan is to create a new “.tickets” domain to help consumers buy tickets safely and securely, and would be regarded as the gold standard of trust for customers.

Steve Machin said “We are extremely pleased that our application has passed the ICANN initial evaluation and that our technical and business plans have been given the green light following rigorous critical review”
