Tamara is raising money for Battersea

We like to do a fair bit of fundraising here at XP, and being a little bit dog-mad, there’s nothing we like more than knowing we are helping our furry friends.

Our Head of Marketing, Tamara, is doing just that in a few weeks by running the Muddy Dog Challenge with her beloved hound, to raise much needed funds for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Check out her page here.

Muddy Dog Challenge is the UK’s first obstacle course where you can compete in 2.5km and 5km obstacle runs with your dog. You can enter as a team of humans, as a dog-and-human duo or go solo if your pampered pooch wants to sit out.

Battersea have been resucing and rehoming animals since 1860, placing animals at the centre of everything they do. More than three million animals later, they’re still working hard to achieve their vision that every dog and cat should live in a home where they are treated with love, care and respect.

Their website reads “We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society. Every year, we care for over 7,000 dogs and cats”.

For those of you that know Tamara, she admits that she is very much NOT a runner, so although 5km may be a standard lunch time work out for some of you, for her it’s a bit more of a challenge.

Maybe you could support her (and earn yourslef a place in doggie heaven)?
