The Goblin King who changed the world

The world was deeply saddened today to learn of the death of one of the most influential artists of all time, David Bowie.

The Star Man’s passing has compelled millions to pay tribute to the musical legend across social media, with artists such as Madonna, Iggy Pop and Gene Simmons bidding a fond farewell to ‘a true hero’. The messages speak volumes of the impact Bowie had on so many, shaping future artists, influencing the styles of countless and forever reinventing himself. A phrase that shines through when reading the tributes is ‘innovator’. The dictionary defines ‘innovation’ as: “to introduce something new; make changes in anything established.” He didn’t work to the boundaries that were laid out before him, he burst through them, carved his own path and invited us all to join him on a magical mystery tour. A truly inspiring individual.

We’ve spent the day with Bowie gently playing throughout the office, remembering fondly the Goblin king who changed the world.

So farewell David, thank you for bringing a little magic to the music world.
