Glasgow announced as host city for The LEVEL Summit 2014
After a fantastic edition of The LEVEL Summit 2013, London, last November organisers Xperiology have announced that the 2014 edition will be held in Glasgow, Scotland in between 14-15 October 2014.
“The LEVEL Summit team and I are delighted to be taking our next Summit to the beautiful city of Glasgow,” said Ian Nuttall, Founder of the Summit for the international live entertainment industry.
“A city rich in culture, Glasgow is home to some spectacular venues, including The SECC Hydro, where we will be treating our 2014 delegates to an exclusive tour!”.
City of culture
Glasgow was named European City of Culture in 1990 and now nearly 25 years after the prestigious accolade catapulted it into the cultural limelight, the vibrant arts scene shows the city’s creativity continues to thrive.
The diversity of Glasgow’s contemporary music scene is also extraordinary. Time Magazine described the city as “Europe’s secret capital of music” while the 2008 edition of Make the Most of Your Time on Earth: A Rough Guide to the World cited that ‘Scotland’s biggest city has an alternative rock pedigree that few can match’.
Glasgow has a thriving arts scene with a wide variety of theatres and performing arts venues throughout the city, including The Theatre Royal, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow Film Theatre, The Tron Theatre, Citizens Theatre and King’s Theatre.
