An American Wolf in Sussex

Eight months ago the XP team took on US Native, Emily Wolf, as an Intern. Today, we catch up with her to see how she’s enjoying her time in the UK…

Q: How has your time been with XP?:
A: It’s been a fantastic experience. I started a few weeks before Ticketing Technology Forum 2015, and its been uphill ever since. Not only have I learned a great amount about organising conferences, but also about the sports and live entertainment industry!

1Q: How has it been living and working in the UK compared to the US?
A: I love the English culture and atmosphere, bar the weather of course! My latest quest is trying to understand Rugby! Work is so diverse, everyday I’m speaking with someone new from a different country – it’s great!

Q: Any major differences you notice living in the UK?
A: I must admit, I find many phrases and words…interesting. For example, this week Lizzie and I discovered our difference in the way we pronounce the word “buoy”. There were a lot of laughs that day in the office….

Q: What are you most looking forward to in the coming months with the XP Team?
A: I am most looking forward to our two events coming up, The LEVEL Summit and TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit. Also, we had the idea of having potluck lunch Fridays – looking forward to that!
