How powerful is social media?
Just over a decade ago Facebook was only a mere concept, less still, Twitter wasn’t even created. Fast forward to 2016 and it would be hard to imagine a world without social media. Keeping up-to-date with the news, friends and business instantaneously has become part of everyday life.
Here at XP we understand the importance of social media and recognise the benefits of the platform.
However, that is not to say social media has been a key channel for revenue growth here at XP. And, it appears we are not alone with this thought. 46% of B2B marketers are not sure whether any social channels have actually generated revenue for their business.
Our main social media channels fall into two distinct platforms: Twitter and LinkedIn.
LinkedIn has been useful to connect to the executives in the industry wanting to learn and share ideas, whilst Twitter has been an excellent platform for us to share the latest industry news to our followers.
As of last week we hit a key milestone with our @StadiumBusiness Twitter account, hitting 2,500 followers wanting to hear the latest daily news within the sector.
But, we want to hear from you.
Has social media been an integral element of your marketing strategy? Would it impact you significantly if you didn’t use it? What do you think could be done to improve your social efforts?
