#SBA TheStadiumBusiness Awards

Nominations Closed! Thanks to everyone who submitted

Nominations for TheStadiumBusiness Awards 2013 closed at midnight last night. A sudden influx of online entries – along with video and presentation evidence – caused a surge in web traffic!

“We’ve had a steady flow of nominations over the last 3 months’ window for nominations but, like kids submitting homework, there’s always a last minute panic when the deadline looms,” observes Angelina Tennino, operations director of TheStadiumBusiness Awards.

“In the final 24 hours we received over 150 additional submissions – and the flood of attachments, supporting documentation caused some technical issues. We extended our window by a few hours to allow those who reported technical issues to us. And, where the applicant called to tell us their Internet was down in Central America, we have even agreed to accept their entries by post – which are now coming in by courier!”

“But that’s it. No more submissions will be accepted and we now head into the research and verification phase, prior to the release of the shortlists in each Category – on 16 April.”

Good luck everyone. We look forward to showcasing and rewarding the very best in our global stadium business at the newly renamed Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, UK on 6 June.
