EXCLUSIVE: FC Barcelona reveals Camp Nou development path – only at TheStadiumBusiness Summit 2013
The future of FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou site has been the subject of much discussion – and several proposals– over the past decade.
But – determined that its historic home should reflect the team’s on-field success – Barça is now underway with a comprehensive re-evaluation of the stadium and its 20 hectare sports campus in the heart of Barcelona.
Reflecting on previous project failings and sharing the ‘new approach’ to the redevelopment, we are delighted to welcome Jordi Moix, VP/Board of Directors, FC Barcelona to present Camp Nou, Urbanism and Sport exclusively at TheStadiumBusiness Summit 2013 on 6-7 June in Manchester.
“I am looking forward to sharing our experiences regarding the urban development of our unique Camp Nou site,” says Moix.
He continues: “The club has been searching for the last decade to implement a proposal for a new stadium, arena and complementary real estate assets that satisfy both FCB and the city’s aspirations.
I believe it is very pedagogic to review the proposals that were presented in the past and examine why they failed – and, based on those experiences, the path we are now defining for the future Barça Campus.”
